Coronada's SUMMER SUNDOWNERS began June 22

The first Summer “Sundowner” was held on Sunday, June 22, starting at 6 pm at the CCA swimming pool.

         Plan to attend this fun event. The Social Committee, Clubhouse Committee and the Landscaping Committee have combined their energies into organizing this event. Drinks will be served but please feel free to bring a fingerfood for all to enjoy.
         This will be a great opportunity to meet new neighbors and to visit with old friends. It will be an informal affair — just a great way to end the weekend before starting another work week.
          The clubhouse floor is being refinished so please DO NOT ENTER THROUGH THE FRONT OF THE CLUBHOUSE!
      We’d like to thank Diane Ryder, Dawn Stephen, Brenda Ellis and Eric Ellison in advance for helping with the planning and organizing of the event.

         The swimming pool area and clubhouse have been undergoing changes during the past year. Rotting crossties have been replaced around the pool and pool entrance and the interior of the clubhouse has been painted and refreshed. We hope you will take advantange of the amenities at Coronada.
          We have exercise rooms in the basement of the clubhouse with great tread machines and exercise bikes and a workout room. Cable TV will be added in the next few weeks (the cable is installed, we just have to mount the TVs).
          Remember, the clubhouse can be rented by Coronada residents and is a wonderful place to have large gatherings and parties. The cost is $275 with $200 refunded after you have cleaned, mopped and put the clubhouse back together.

A small number of households participated in this years CCA Annual Yard Sale but all seemed to have an enjoyable day with a lot of people searching for that “special” item. The day was beautiful and warm and a perfect day for the sale. The CCA Yard / Garage / Carport Sale is held the first Saturday of June each year. The cost was only $5 per household and the proceeds went to advertising. Thanks to all who participated and a special thanks to Gene Floyd for taking care of the community table!

Keep an eye on vehicles that come into the complex that don’t usually belong here and watch for stragglers who just walk through. Coronada has been a very safe place to live and we want to keep it that way. With all of us working together, we can make Coronada the best place to live in Nashville.

Check for Mosquitoes:

Standing water is a breeding area for mosquitoes. Check around your condo and see if you have any standing or running water (fountains, etc.) and either empty the water or place a mosquito tablet in the water to kill unwanted mosquitoes.

Business note: As of December 1, 2007, Coronada will charge $25.00 to homeowners whose check is returned for “insufficient funds”. This charge will be in addition to any charges levied by the homeowner’s bank, etc. If circumstances beyond your control result in the insufficiency (i.e., bank error), you may bring those circumstances to the Board’s attention and the Board will consider waiving the fee. This fee will, however, only be waived in limited circumstances.
